Architecture
Standard fiber optic cables have a glass core surrounded by a tighter sheath and PVC sheath. The armored optical cable takes the lead, and there are flame retardant directional rays between the cladding and the external PVC coating. The aluminum shell on the PVC shell is spiral braided. As shown in the figure below, the aluminum cover plate has a ridge, which can provide extrusion protection for the cable without limiting the flexibility of the cable. Since the ridge line and the front ridge line are “interlocked”, these cables are called “interlocking armored optical fiber cables”.
