How To Install The Hollow Encoder, Problems And; Solution
Hollow encoder is also called hollow encoder. When installing these encoders, avoid rigid connection with the encoder. Refer to the shaft dimensions installation instructions. 1.1 How to install the empty encoder 1
- First, fix the drive shaft on the device, and do not directly connect the encoder. Usually a flexible shaft is used
*Install the shaft(1) on the encoder. The shaft will not touch the encoder surface.
*Push the servo fixture(2) into the mounting flange surface with the screws(3), but do not lock the screws.
*Rotate the servo clamp ring(2) and push in the encoder.
*Slide the servo clamp ring(2) into the servo panel cabinet and tighten it.
*Fix the shaft on the drive shaft(1), minimize the angle and horizontal aiming error, and ensure that the installation error of the shaft and encoder is within the allowable range.
*Lock the 3 screws on the servo clamp ring.

As with the previous installation method, please fix the drive shaft on the device first, and do not directly connect the encoder. Use flexible shaft.
*Install the shaft(1) on the encoder. The shaft will not touch the encoder surface.
*Push in the encoder with the enclosure(1).

2.1 Loose installation
Loose installation of the spindle encoder will damage the position control accuracy of the encoder, causing the position deviation of the equipment to exceed the tolerance during stopping and moving. It is also possible to send an overload warning to the servo system when the device is started. Therefore, before using the coaxial encoder, it must be firmly and reliably installed.
2.2 Cable connection failure
The connecting cable has the highest probability of failure, which often occurs during maintenance. These faults are the priority of inspection. Generally, problems such as short circuit, poor encoder contact or cable blockage can be solved by replacing encoder connector or cable.
2.3 Connection error
When installing the hollow encoder, make sure that the end of each pin of the encoder is connected correctly. Otherwise, once the wiring is wrong, it will lead to incompatible operation between lines or unstable pulse waveform signal of encoder, resulting in accurate deviation of measured value. In severe cases, the encoder may be directly damaged

2.4 Power supply voltage below+5V
That is, the power supply voltage is less than+5V. Generally, the normal working condition of encoder shall be greater than 4.75V. The low power supply voltage may be caused by power failure or loss caused by excessive resistance of power transmission cable of encoder.
To fix this problem, you must repair the power supply or replace the cable.
2.5 Battery voltage drop
This problem usually occurs when the alarm is clear. You need to replace the battery to solve this problem. If the memory of the reference point is lost, step is required to return the encoder to the reference point.
2.6 Encoder error
These problems mean that the hollow shaft encoder itself or its components fail, resulting in the encoder being unable to generate and output the correct waveform
